I'm very proud of Piper Jane's Aphrodite costume. Because, although I had all the materials three weeks ago, I didn't start making it until last night. I'm also proud because I made the entire thing....spray painting, sewing, head band/dress, gladiator sandals and all. She looks so cute.

I wish I could have gotten better pictures. She LOVED the costume. She loved all the shiny gold and the strings on her sandals. This was why it was so hard to take pictures. She kept picking up the gold rope and putting it in front of her face, kicking her feet up to her head (exposing her diaper) to look at her sandals and pulling her dress up. The point of the costume was for me and Pipes to have fun, not to get pictures, and we definitely achieved that. Well maybe a little of it was for the pictures. FINE, a lot.

The piptures (haha, get it?) don't do her justice. She was a stinkball of cuteness. I overheard the nurses outside of her room saying she should have won the costume contest because she definitely had the cutest costume!! I had to pretend that I wasn't eavesdropping even though I was grinning ear to ear and agreeing 100%. She couldn't even go to the parade they had, so she really had no chance. Oh well, next year :)


I kept making Pip say "Hear Ye, Hear Ye". Do Greek Gods say that?
