Is anyone else REALLY scared?

Warning: this post is serious.

After everything that has gone down with Lehman and Merrill Lynch this weekend/today, I am basically terrified for this country. What is going to happen next?

I just watched the remarks President Bush had on the recent fiasco and this is what he had to say

"the market is flexible and resiliant".

Ummmm, excuse me? People are losing their jobs everywhere. I can't help but worry for my own husband's job as a finance attorney even though we have been so fortunate to survive two rounds of mass lay-off. He could switch fields if the market gets worse, but why should he when he enjoys what he does and is so good at it?

This is a chrisis if I ever saw one.

Thanks for the props, Gerb. Yes, I'm pretty nervous about what is going to happen, too.

I especially love it when he says, this is a "natural flux" of the market. Laughable.

You'd better be scared if McCain is voted in.

Regan started all this and Bush helped push it right over the edge. it's going to take a lot of cleaning up to get us back on track.

Hopefully this country will stop voting because of a sky wizard and use their brains this time around.

You'd better hope that the Dems take it or we are all toast.
