It has been a crazy day. I'm proud of myself though. I found myself having to do most of the things I hate in one day. Mostly paper work for the care at home packet on the east side and navigating through new lands/the bronx. I wound up in the bronx and drove an hour and a half for no reason trying to get to stupid new jersey. It was crazy, but I'm here and it has been so fun. Piper and I are having a sleep over tonight. It will be the first one out of pleasure. The others were because she was very sick and we were afraid to leave, so those don't count. Anyway, she might be coming home in july (tuh-dah!!), so we have a lot of training to get done. Today, I have given her her meds twice, changed two peep filled diapies, changed her trach, organized ALL of her stuff (this was long overdue) and just hung out. Later we'll probably just paint nails and talk about boys. seriously though, we have had a blast.

It has especially been fun to read her all of her new books that she got for her birthday. The onsie I put her in was a present from Tushna, a woman Jake works with. You can't read it, but it says "new york princess" and it has a princess stick figure on it. Then I ask myself 'is a pip from new york or new jersey? And if she is from new jersey, what would a new jersey princess look like?'. Awe!!!! In the short time it took to write two rambling paragraphs, PIP has fallen asleep and is currently sawing tooth picks. She is so cute.

Other crazy things that happened since I've been here: a "code red" where people were running through the halls and lights were flashing for some kid on the 1st floor *a doctor later said it was just a fire from the cooking activity the older patients were having*, I ate a sandwhich, they had to switch pippy back to the big vent and I found out that she is getting over pneumonia!! We knew she was sick! Thankfully it was pretty mild and they hastily gave her some antibiotics. She is a fighter like Rocky. Glorious sleepover, don't ever end :)
