She came back! My favorite client ever came back for a second hair cut. She said herself "It was the best hair cut I've ever had". And it was done by me!!!! Some of you may know who I'm talking about.......It's Lela (her name on the show) from Sesame Street!!!!!! Yes, a few months ago I was chatting with the girl in my hydraulic chair and when the topic came up as to what her profession was, she said "I'm an actor. I'm on Sesame Street." Do you believe it? So today we were talking about Sesame Street again and I was learning how big Snuffleupagus is (two people inside of the costume) when she asked how my baby was doing.
I said "Great! She just moved to NJ"
She goes "You should bring her to the show"
I go "She can't leave the hospital, but they should do a segment on her"
She says "That's actually a good idea, I'm going to suggest it"
She then asked details about where she is, what city, how long it takes to get there....
WOAH!!! I'm sure it will never happen, but would you just die if my Piper Jane was on Sesame Street? I would just die (in the good way).
Also, did you know they have had the same big bird for all 40 years? And it is filmed in Astoria? I always suspected Harlem, by the Cosby's house. It just looked like the same area when I was young. So, when you are watching SS with your kids and you see a beautiful, petite girl from India with AMAZING hair named Lela, think of this story. I think the new season starts in August.

Did she tell you how to get, how to get to Sesame Street? That is so cool Reagan- You know I was raised on "The Street." it's also super cool that you have a famous haircut.
That is so awesome! I totally love that SS is filmed in NY. Matt didn't know that until we lived here and Lexi became a regular watcher of SS and he was like, "Hey. That looks like a neighborhood in Harlem or Brooklyn or something." I was like, "Yeah. SS is totally NYC."
And they seem to be all about raising awareness and helping kids be more sensitive. I hope the segment happens! PJ could be famous!

I hope Piper gets to be on Sesame Street, that would be so special. One of my all-time favorite childhood shows.
