Blob of a Geisha

I'm not really a Geisha, but I've seen the movie and my sister has read the book. I'm actually the opposite of one. I don't think Geishas are allowed to talk about the things I talk about. I only wrote it because I'm holding a fan, which is actually from Venice.

This is a blog ,excuse me, a blob, about Lacy's wedding. It was such a busy weekend that when I came home, I almost felt like it was a dream. We got to Jake's parent's house at about 6 pm and tried to have a romantic first anniversary dinner with his brother Sam and cousin Eddie. His mom and dad had choir until pretty late, so we watched some hilarious video clips on http://www.ytmnd.com/ (I like the dinosaur one, but for very un-geisha like reasons) with Sam before deciding on a romantic first anniversary cuddle and movie. The movie was Transformers, which we saw on our semi-annual-versary. By this time it was well after 1 am in NY so I was out like a light before any of the cars started turning into stuff. The next day was the same, wake up early, and travel a lot. This time though, we were driving. Jake's wonderful mom let us borrow her car and we picked up Nathan and Melanie on the way down to CC. This is a four hour drive. We went bowling that night and when we got there, my mom made delicious green chili stew, even vegetarian. I'm trying to abreiviate a little since the first part was such detail.

The next morning I woke up before 5:30 and did my own hair, then we drove down to St. G and I did everyone else's hair. I was very happy to help a friend, but very sad to not enjoy the food and conversation that I had been anticipating for 2,500 miles of traveling. But, the wedding turned out perfect. Everything. The food, the bride, the band....seriously, nothing compares to a live band and they were wicked good. There were a lot of Lacy's friends from LA and Vegas that I hadn't met yet, and they were really cool. Especially Carrie. She works for E! Entertainment, and her best friend is the girl who says "So Meaty" on The Soup!!!!!! Can you believe it? For anyone who knows me, you know that I am the biggest Joel McHale/The Soup fan alive and NEVER miss an episode. Celebrity crush of Brad, George or Matthew? Bleh, not me, it's Joel McHale all the way (this crush is approved by Jake). The icing on the cake is that Carrie knows him pretty well outside of work and says his personality is the exact same!!!!! I almost wasn't going to ask what he was like out of fear of him being boring or a jerk, but I'm so glad I did.
